Winterization

The family dog isn't the only cause for costly repairs. Inexperienced companies that suddenly get into the irrigation business are also a big drain on your wallet.

Winterizing your irrigation system in an important step to take when the weather starts to turn cold. Watson sends out regular notices when the weather starts to turn to let you know it's time to winterize your system.

We often hear back from clients saying they did the winterization themselves or had a friend or lawn mowing guy do it for them.  These three things can raise your winterization cost from the standard fee which was around $75 in 2007 to upwards of $500 to also replace the backflow preventer.

Even if the water has been drained out of your irrigation system, the remaining water can freeze, expand and crack the piping, usually from fitting to fitting.

Call Watson Irrigation and Lighting for your anual winterization before the weather starts to turn!
